Position: Eligibility Worker – (EW)
Hours: Full-time, 35 hours/week
Salary: $19.14/hour
Location: 930 First Avenue, Madison, MN
Job Duties: Determines financial eligibility for Food Support program (SNAP), MN Family Investment Program (MFIP) or Diversionary Work Program (DWP) and provides ongoing case maintenance. Provides training to clients on use of their electronic benefits (EBT) for food support. Determines cost effective insurance for the Medical Assistance program for other workers. Processes applications for child care assistance program (MEC2) and monitors cases.

Examination process: In order to be considered for this job, you must take and pass an examination, which is offered online. The examination consists of seven (7) sub-sections measuring arithmetic, eligibility determination and reading comprehension. You will need a calculator and scratch paper in order to complete this exam. IMPORTANT INFORMATION: You must complete the exam within 3 days of submitting your application, or if you wait until the closing date, you must complete the exam no later than midnight, November 1, 2018. Several of the modules/examination sections are not compatible with Apple products at this time and must be completed in a Windows-based computer system, so you may need to use another Windows-compatible computer to complete the exam(s).
