Job Posting – Chief Deputy Recorder

Lac qui Parle County has a full-time opening for the position of Chief Deputy Recorder.  Within the Office of the County Recorder, the Chief Deputy performs complex duties in the areas of real estate document archival and vital statistics record management and issuance.  The Chief Deputy performs extensive customer service duties while complying with county policies and state law, and ensuring accuracy of data-entry into computer software systems.  Desirable job experiences include work in customer service and in real estate title, legal, mortgage banking, appraisal, GIS mapping, surveying, or a related industry requiring strong mathematical abilities.

Compensation package includes starting hourly wage of $15.36, increasing to $17.07 after one year.  Health insurance benefits include options for single coverage ($0 employee cost) or family coverage (starting at $84/month employee cost).  Other benefits include health insurance, PERA pension, retirement savings, and more.  The position offers a flexible work schedule with regular work hours 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday, and starting annual paid leave benefits include 12 vacation days, 12 sick days, and 11 holidays.
