Public Request for Damage Assessment

Public Request for Damage Assessment

The Lac qui Parle County Emergency Management Department is requesting assistance in documenting and assessing damage across the county. The magnitude of property affected by the May 12th storm makes a comprehensive initial survey hard to complete.

Anyone that suffered damages is asked to send photos and a descriptive summary to OR via the Lac qui Parle County Emergency Management Facebook Page post about Damage Assessments from May 13th.

Citizens can break down sites by describing buildings in the following four categories: ‘Destroyed’, ‘Major Damage’, ‘Minor Damage’, or ‘Affected’ and whether the building/property was insured.

The information gathered will be used for the Initial Impact and Damage Assessment report and submitted to the State Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management.

Your help on this is greatly needed and appreciated! Thank You
