JOB OPPORTUNITY
Lac qui Parle County Highway Department is accepting applications for an Assistant Engineer. This position is to provide professional field and office civil engineering work, and supervise and coordinate county highway technical staff and operations. Duties include, but are not limited to: supervising inspection duties; reviewing plans and sketches; negotiate right-of-way and easement purchases; operating instruments; and performing additional tasks as assigned by the Engineer.
Minimum qualifications include a high school education, and Associate’s Degree in Civil Engineering Technology with a minimum of eight years of experience in engineering, design, surveying or related in this field; or Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering and has passed the EIT test.
Base Salary ranges from $26.79 to $35.62 per hour based on experience and education, with benefits including insurance, cafeteria plan, and a retirement plan.
