Lac qui Parle County Family Services is seeking a Permanent Part-Time Social Worker – Adult Services.

SALARY: $21.47 /Hour

JOB SUMMARY:

This social worker will serve as the adult protective services person, who will complete investigations as they are screened in through the MN Adult Abuse Reporting Center. Once the case is opened, the worker will offer services to the vulnerable adult and provide initial case management as needed. All documentation will be entered into SSIS and service agreements will be written to pay for services. Worker must work closely with law enforcement and health care providers.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

A bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university with a major in social work, psychology, sociology or closely related field.

or

A bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university with a major in any field and one (1) year of experience as a social worker in a public or private social services agency.

You may apply before graduating, but no more than 60 days prior to receiving your Bachelor’s Degree.

Lac qui Parle County Highway Department is accepting applications for a Heavy Equipment Operator at the Bellingham Shop. Primary duty will be, under general supervision, being able to operate all or a majority of the highway maintenance equipment required in maintaining and repairing the county roadway system.

Minimum qualifications include a high school education, and have a Commercial Driver License (Class A) and able to obtain the tanker endorsement.

Good knowledge in highway maintenance procedures and equipment, equipment maintenance, and the ability to do physical activities is desirable.

Starting pay is $17.83 per hour going to $19.81 per hour in one (1) year with benefits including insurance, cafeteria plan, and a retirement plan.

Lac qui Parle County Highway Department is accepting applications for a Maintenance Supervisor. This position is to provide roadway and bridge maintenance knowledge, coordinate and supervise county highway maintenance personnel, operations and the maintenance of the highway equipment. Duties include, but are not limited to: supervising maintenance operations; work with other public agencies; final approval of utility and access permits work; operating equipment; and performing additional tasks as assigned by the Engineer.

Minimum qualifications include a high school education, and Two (2) years of higher education and 6 years of experience, of a progressively responsible nature, in the field of highway maintenance and/or construction work, or 10 years of experience, of a progressively responsible nature, in the field of highway maintenance and/or construction work. Prior supervisory experience.  Must have a commercial driver license (Class A).

Base Salary ranges from $23.75 to $30.00 per hour based on experience and education, with benefits including insurance, cafeteria plan, and a retirement plan.

Lac qui Parle County Highway Department is accepting applications for a Civil Engineering Technician at the Madison office.  Primary duties will be, under general supervision, to provide professional field and office civil engineering work.  Duties include, but are not limited to: performing construction observation/inspection duties; preparing plans and sketches; surveying; assisting in the preparation of project specifications and bid documents; construction materials testing; and performing additional tasks as assigned by the Engineer.

Minimum qualifications include a high school education, and Associate’s Degree in Civil Engineering Technology, or 3 years of qualified work experience related in this field.  Must have a valid driver license.

Good knowledge in highway design, computer aided drafting and record keeping skills are desirable.

Base Salary ranges from $16.97 to $26.23 per hour based on experience and certifications, with benefits including insurance, cafeteria plan, and a retirement plan.
