Lac qui Parle County Highway Department is accepting applications for a Heavy Equipment Operator at the Bellingham Shop.  Primary duties will be, under general supervision, being able to operate all or a majority of the highway maintenance equipment required in maintaining and repairing the county roadway system.
 
Minimum qualifications include a high school education, and have a Commercial Driver License (Class A) and able to obtain the tanker endorsement.
 
Good knowledge in highway maintenance procedures and equipment, equipment maintenance, and the ability to do physical activities is desirable.
 
Starting pay is $18.27 per hour going to $20.81 per hour in one (1) year with benefits including insurance, cafeteria plan, and a retirement plan.

Job Duties:  This position will serve as the adult protective services worker, who will complete investigations as reports are screened in through the MN Adult Abuse Reporting Center.  Once the case is opened, the worker will offer services to the vulnerable adult and provide case management as needed.  This position will also serve as a case manager/care coordinator for disabled persons living in the community.  Duties include conducting MNChoices assessments, service planning/development, service arrangement and case management.

A bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university with a major in any field and one (1) year of experience as a social worker in a public or private social services agency.
