ELECTRONIC DISPOSAL IN LAC QUI PARLE COUNTY
Consumer electronics such as TVs, computer equipment, and DVD players contain toxic metals and chemicals.
These devices are safe to use every day in your home but when when thrown away, can release heavy metals and other chemicals into the environment.
According to Minnesota law, televisions and computer monitors must be recycled, they cannot be discarded into the trash.
LqP COUNTY ELECTRONIC WASTE DISPOSAL SITE
Location: Shop building at the Lac qui Parle County Demolition Landfill
2462 241st Avenue, Madison, MN 56256
(1/4 mile east of Madison on Hwy. 40, then north 1/2 mile on 241st Avenue)
Dates: Second Saturday of each summer month (May thru October Only)
Hours of Operation: 8:00 a.m. until Noon
Fees:
$5.00 per item: Monitors, Towers, Laptops, Scanners, Printers, Fax Machines, VCR/DVD Players, etc.
$5.00 per item: TVs under 25"
$10.00 per item: TVs over 25" and All Consoles
$10.00 per item: Desk Model Copy Machines
$20.00 per item: Floor Model Copy Machines
$10.00 per item: Microwaves
(Keyboards, Mouse, Cords – No Charge)
