[ARCHIVED] Local Grants Now Available Through Opioid Settlement Funds

The Communities Response to Opioid Program (CROP) is excited to announce the availability of local grant funding to support efforts addressing opioid use and its impacts in Chippewa, Lac qui Parle, Swift, and Yellow Medicine counties. The first round of funding is now open, with a grant application deadline of February 28, 2025.

These grant funds are part of Minnesota’s share of the Opioid Settlement Funds, distributed to local governments to combat the opioid crisis. In Fall 2024, the local CROP Subcommittee was formed to guide this effort. The subcommittee’s mission focuses on:

Prevention and education about substance use.

Collaboration with partners to save lives.

Expanding access to treatment, recovery resources, and harm reduction strategies.

Who Can Apply?

Local organizations and groups in Chippewa, Lac qui Parle, Swift, and Yellow Medicine counties are encouraged to apply. Projects and initiatives should align with CROP’s mission to address opioid use and its consequences in the community.  The maximum grant amount is set at $20,000.
