Special Item Collection - Saturday, October 11th

Environment - Watershed Posted on September 14, 2025

Only one Saturday remains this year to dispose of electronics, appliances, tires, and bulbs at the LQP Special Item Recycling Site! There’s a small fee for electronics, appliances, and tires, and all bulbs are FREE! If you still have waste to dispose of, Saturday, October 11th, is the last day the recycling site will be open in 2025!

The Special Item Collection is open to all LQP County residents and businesses. Again, there’s a small fee for appliances, tires, and electronics, and all bulbs are FREE! The last collection of the year will be on Saturday, October 11th, from 8 am until noon.

The Special Item Recycling Site is located at 2462 241st Avenue, the former demolition landfill site, which is ¼ mile east of Madison on Highway 40 and then ½ mile north on 241st Avenue.

For any questions concerning acceptable items or prices, please call the Lac qui Parle County Environmental Office at 320-598-3132.  You can also find more details under the Environmental Department on the county website at www.lqpco.com
