Special Item Collection

The next Lac qui Parle County Special Item Collection will be held on Saturday, September 14th, from 8 am to noon, at the Special Item Recycling Site. This is a great opportunity to dispose of old appliances, tires, and electronics for a small fee, and all bulbs are now FREE! The collections are open to all Lac qui Parle County residents and businesses. They are held on the second Saturday of the month and will continue through October 12th. Again, we accept appliances, tires, electronics, and bulbs. The special item recycling site is the former demolition landfill site at 2462 241st Avenue, located ¼ mile east of Madison on Highway 40 and then ½ mile north on 241st Avenue.
